At the ABSL Summit 2025 in Krakow, I created live digital graphic recordings during keynote speeches, panel discussions and expert sessions. As each session concluded, the visual summary appeared on the main screen, allowing participants to revisit key insights in a format that was memorable, engaging and easy to share.
And that’s exactly why organizations hire graphic recorders.
Conference organizers invest significant resources in creating valuable content, yet much of it is forgotten within days. Digital graphic recording helps attendees retain key messages, creates a focal point for engagement during the event and generates visual assets that continue to deliver value long after the conference ends.
During the summit, I was asked the same questions many clients ask before booking a graphic recorder, so let’s answer them here.
🖍️ What exactly is digital graphic recording?
Digital graphic recording is the live visual capture of presentations, discussions and ideas as they happen.
While speakers present, I create a visual map of the conversation using keywords, illustrations, icons and visual metaphors. Participants can watch the drawing evolve in real time, which naturally increases attention and curiosity.
The result is much more than a “nice drawing.” It becomes a visual summary that helps people understand, remember and share the most important ideas from the event.

🧩 Why do companies invest in graphic recording?
Clients typically book graphic recording for three reasons:
- To increase audience engagement during presentations
- To improve retention of key messages
- To create valuable post-event content
A visual summary often becomes one of the most shared pieces of content from the entire event. It can be used in recap emails, reports, internal communications, presentations, LinkedIn posts and future marketing materials.
Instead of disappearing once the conference ends, your content continues to work for you.
🦄 What makes my approach different?
I specialize in digital graphic recording for international corporate events and have spent more than 10 years working with organizations such as Microsoft, Google, Shell, Danone, Cisco, Volvo, BAT and Tetra Pak.
My drawings are created digitally on custom-designed boards prepared before the event and aligned with your visual identity and brand guidelines. Throughout the session, the drawing can be streamed live to screens, allowing attendees to follow the creative process and engage with the content as it unfolds.
Clients receive not only a professional visual summary, but also a powerful visual experience during the event itself.
📦 What’s included?
Every project includes:
- Pre-event briefing and preparation
- Live graphic recording during the event
- Branded visual boards prepared in advance
- High-resolution final artwork (PNG, PDF, JPG)
- Usage rights for internal and external communication
- Time-lapse animation of the drawing process
Optional additions include:
- Social-media-ready versions
- Conference summary posters
- Multi-language versions
- Post-event visual reports
🧑🤝🧑Can you cover multiple sessions at once?
Yes.
For large conferences with parallel tracks, I collaborate with a trusted network of experienced visual practitioners. At ABSL Summit, I worked alongside Bogusia (Bora Doodles) and Magda (Magda Rysuje), enabling us to capture multiple sessions simultaneously while maintaining consistent quality.
This means clients can have visual coverage of an entire multi-room event rather than just one stage.
⏳How quickly do we receive the files?
One of the advantages of digital graphic recording is speed.
You receive your visuals right away. The same goes to time-lapse animations – they are ready as soon as I finish drawing.
Additional formats can be delivered shortly after the event, allowing marketing and communications teams to start using the materials immediately.
📋 What do you need from the organizer?
Very little.
The most important element is a short briefing before the event so I can understand the audience, objectives and agenda plus any guidelines you have regarding branding or corporate identity. During the event, I simply need a location with a clear view of the stage, your HDMI cable and access to power.
The process is designed to be straightforward and low-maintenance for organizers.
💸 Is graphic recording worth it?
If your goal is to make presentations more memorable, increase engagement and create content that continues to generate value after the event, the answer is yes.
Graphic recording transforms conference content into a visual asset that attendees remember, share and return to long after the final session ends.
That’s why organizations ranging from global corporations to industry associations continue to include it as part of their event experience.
