Sketchnoting & Visual Thinking Workshops

I had the unique opportunity and real pleasure of taking part in a 3-week drawing workshop prepared by Basia. The workshop format, conducted via Zoom with live screen-sharing from her tablet, turned out to be perfect for this type of class. Thanks to this setup, I could follow every stage of the process, which made learning and trying out visual note-taking on my own much easier.

The digital materials shared before and during the workshops – recordings on the website, a Facebook group, and email updates – were extremely helpful. They stood out for their high quality, clarity, and engagement, and they perfectly complemented the live sessions.

Basia’s facilitation also deserves high praise. Her explanations were clear and easy to understand, and the tasks and challenges for participants – both during the sessions and as homework – were well thought-out and valuable. The whole course, in an original and engaging way, showed how much can be gained from using different forms of visual thinking, even as a complete beginner. The scope of topics was well balanced, ideal for starting an adventure with visual thinking. Everything was on point and coherent – nothing felt excessive or lacking.

The workshops inspired me deeply, so I decided to return to learning sketchnoting, this time using the Procreate app. I feel this is just the beginning of a new, enriching creative journey. I’m eager to use the knowledge I gained in social skills training sessions and in classes with my students.

I’m very satisfied with the workshop and can wholeheartedly recommend working with Basia to anyone who wants to start or develop their adventure with visual thinking.

These were my very first sketchnoting workshops – and they hit the mark right away! The sessions were online, via Zoom, and the way they were led was perfectly thought out. Thanks to screen-sharing from the tablet, everything was clear and easy to follow – just as it should be.

The extra materials were a huge plus. The recordings turned out to be fantastic support – I could go back to them anytime, and if I missed a live session, I could easily catch up. The Facebook group was also very helpful – participants shared their work, and the trainer gave valuable feedback. That really taught me a lot.

Everything was explained clearly, even for people who don’t feel confident drawing. The exercises during and after the sessions let me test if I understood, and the joint reviews helped clear up doubts.

The content was well-chosen – basics, but very concrete. It helped me catch the ‘flow’ and immediately made me want to learn more. I realized how simple lines can show emotions, movement, relationships – before, I could only draw a stick figure without a face. Now I know how to approach people, objects, and elements like banners or icons. That’s a huge change.

Most of all – thank you for your time, knowledge, engagement, and the warm atmosphere. I came to see if this was for me – and now I know it is. I hope we meet again, because it was amazing. And honestly – it was also a fantastic form of relaxation!

I’ve already taken part in several sketchnoting workshops, but Basia’s workshops feel like an intimate social gathering combined with hands-on practice. During them, you not only learn the basics of visual thinking but also get to exchange knowledge on the subject.

Basia doesn’t let things slide – she teaches, but she also challenges you. She gives homework, showing that she truly cares about the results of her work. She shares her knowledge generously and doesn’t treat the workshops as just another box to tick. It’s clear this is her passion.

It’s been a long time since I looked forward to the next session so much – and I wasn’t disappointed. Now it’s only up to me how I’ll use this in my own work.
